Danielle N. Rushing is a south Louisiana native, from the town of Watson outside Baton Rouge. Danielle completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, where she was heavily involved in Kappa Alpha Theta—Delta Kappa chapter and LSU Student Government. While pursuing her degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law, Danielle received numerous awards for her work as a staff writer and as a senior associate editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. Danielle was also recognized for her dedication to pro bono work throughout law school as student co-coordinator of the San Antonio Wills Clinic, operated by the Community Justice Program of the San Antonio Bar Association. Prior to joining Curl Stahl Geis as an associate, Danielle held teaching assistantships at St. Mary’s for Associate Dean Victoria M. Mather and for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Craig A. Gargotta. She also completed court internships with Judge Gargotta and with Chief Justice (Ret.) Catherine M. Stone of the Fourth Court of Appeals of Texas, and additional internships with the San Antonio office of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Trustee Program, and with Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc.
