MARCH 2024

Our firm successfully represented a San Antonio real estate brokerage and management company against a company that had refused to make full payment of a substantial real estate commission that our client had earned on a multimillion dollar transaction.  After a nonjury trial in Bexar County District Court, our client was awarded the entire unpaid commission, plus attorney’s fees and costs.  Paul Curl served as lead counsel, assisted by Elias Thompson. 

SEPTEMBER 2023

Paul Curl, Bennett Stahl, and Diana Geis were named “Texas Super Lawyers” by
Thompson Reuters for 2023 in the category of business litigation.

AUGUST 2023

Herbert Hill was named a “Texas Rising Star” by Thompson Reuters for 2023 in the
category of business litigation.

AUGUST 2023

Our firm successfully represented a San Marcos, Texas entrepreneur in his effort to regain ownership interests in two Las Palapas franchisees and a related company after the other owners forced our client out of the companies through misuse of a push-pull agreement. The court entered declaratory judgment that our client retained all ownership positions and titles that the other owners sought to take from him, and ordered the other owners to pay all of our client’s attorney’s fees and court costs. We negotiated a favorable settlement with an additional defendant, Vantage Bank Texas, prior to trial. Paul Curl was lead counsel, assisted by Herbert Hill.

MAY 2023

Our firm successfully represented a San Antonio asset manager and developer in
arbitration of overcharges billed by AT&T for relocating telecommunication lines at a
new office building near the Pearl area of San Antonio. The arbitrator ruled that our
client owed nothing further to AT&T and ordered AT&T to pay all of our client’s
attorney’s fees and other legal expenses. Paul Curl was lead counsel, assisted by
Herbert Hill.
